Windows were damaged at a building in Cumbernauld Village. The incident happened at the Islamic Education Trust Building on Auld Road. Police say the windows were damaged sometime between 3am and 11am on Wednesday, July 24.

Thieves attempted to nick a boiler from a property in Kilsyth. The home on Hamill Drive was broken into sometime between 3.30pm on Friday, July 19, and 10pm on Sunday, July 21. Police say an attempt was made to steal a boiler located from within the property.

An attempt was made to break-into two separate homes in the same Cumbernauld street. The homes were on Kingsmuir Drive and the incident happened in the early hours of the morning of Thursday, July 25. Police say as a result of enquiry, two men, aged 22 and 33, were apprehended and held in custody. They were due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Friday, July 26.

Three separate cars were broken into in the same area of Cumbernauld. The cars were parked in the town’s Lomond Drive and Lomond Place. The cars were broken into sometime between 4pm on Sunday, July 28, and 6.55am on Monday, July 29. Police say it is unclear at this time what was stolen from the cars.

A 17-year-old Cumbernauld was assaulted in the town on Saturday, July 27. The incident happened at around 3.20am. The teenager was assaulted as he passed through Millcroft Road. Police say the teenager’s injuries required medical treatment.

An 18-year-old was allegedly assaulted outside a Cumbernauld nightclub at around 3.25am on Saturday, July 27. Police say the incident took place outside the Basement nightclub. A 21-year-old was subsequently arrested. Police say he will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
