Gers fans donate thousands to Strathcarron in memory of Gary

A group of football fans have made a sizeable donation to Strathcarron Hospice in memory of a much-missed local man.

The Gary Clark Loyal supporters bus was set up by Rangers fan Gary’s friends after passed away in 2015, aged just 21. From the outset the group wanted to acknowledge the excellent care he received at Strathcarron and the bus has constantly raised funds.

Gary’s best friend, Gregg Dean, said: “Gary was extremely well liked across the spectrum in Cumbernauld and we have seen support from local businesses, rival fans, friends, and family. It seems that everyone appreciates what we are trying to do and it’s a refreshing and inclusive buzz. Everyone loved him and due to that the bus has seen itself grow as the season went on.”

On Saturday the pals presented Strathcarron fundraiser Jim Brown with an impressive £4,000, and they plan to make another donation at the end of the season.
