Getting into the sporting spirit

I’m torn over who to support – America, as I have a lot of family living there, or France, where I spent this year’s family holiday.

I think I will simply be supporting sport – the atmosphere is sure to be electric, and the cycnics who say London 2012 is irrelevant outside the M25 are surely buying into the excitement now.

I’m sure it will give Glasgow a flavour of what the 2014 Commonwealth Games will be like too.

It’s been a fantastic summer of sport so far, and I was lucky enough to see Bradley Wiggins, Chris Froome and Mark Cavendish whizz through the French countryside on route to Team Sky’s Tour de France win.

It was awe-inspiring and inspirational – I even got my bike out for the first time in months at the weekend.
