Holy Cross go all round the world with fun activities

HOLY Cross Primary in Croy draws youngsters from far beyond the village itself and staff certainly know how to keep them busy, with a great range of stimulating activities

Drawn from P6 and P7, the Glee Club just love providing the entertainment under the watchful eye of former pupil Amy Martin.

A igloo made from milk cartons is the impressive structure dominating the nursery and it came courtesy of the eco group who are keeping it green.

These beautifully crafted artefacts are the handiwork of Primary 3 who are studying the fascinating subject of Egyptology.

Enterprising youngsters have set up their very own stationery shop called The Pencil Case which boosts school funds and helps the canny young participants with cash handling and business-related skills.

Coached by local parent John Mellon, the Primary 7 football team is a force to be reckoned with and regularly competes in tournaments like the Pat Campbell and Civic Week cups.

Given their zest for project work on the Big Apple, you could say that these Primary 7s are honorary New Yorkers - they have even made their own models of NYC landmarks!
