Hundreds oppose nursery closure
The council plans to shut down the nursery class at Redburn School, which caters to children with additional support needs, due to the running costs and small number of pupils .
If the plans go ahead, after the current school year ends the remaining children and staff would transfer to Baird Memorial Primary School.

Hide AdAndy Dodds, whose daughter Lily attends the nursery, has started an online petition and Facebook campaign against the plans.
In its first day online this attracted around 500 signatures.
