Journalism students meet BBC mentor
STUDENTS at the Cardonald campus of Glasgow Clyde College welcomed journalist Samira Ahmed last week for the filming of an episode of the BBC’s Newswatch.
The reporter attended a Q&A with first and second years studying for an HND in journalism, before filming a segment for the programme which then aired last Friday night.
A representative of the college told The Extra thatSamira’s visit to the southside “was extremely inspiring — the students (and staff) loved it.”
