The 12-week development programme is to enable young people to uncover hidden talents, build self-esteem and confidence and gain qualifications and skills to progress into other courses or employment.

Emma Noble, team leader, said: “The practical elements of the course include a multi-activity four day residential, two weeks work experience, community projects, and sports sessions. On completion of the course you will gain four SQA qualifications in personal development and core skills, SQA communications, the John Muir Award, First aid and a REHIS food hygiene certificate. Your CV will be vastly improved and your self-confidence and self-esteem will reap the rewards of a programme that will allow you to take control of your circumstances and move on.”

You can find out more at an information session on Thursday, December 19, at 11am in the Cumbernauld campus, or you can contact Emma on 01236 731811 or e-mail [email protected].
