Cumbernauld Glen will be the focus of Katrina’s project – and this delicate image of snowdrops with their hopeful message of oncoming springtime is the first image she has taken.

Katrina told the News: “Cumbernauld has been specifically chosen as an urban environment which incorporates nature reserves and wild spaces and this area is really lucky to have so many nature reserves containing a variety of habitats and wildlife.”

“I hope my photography will capture the important links between people and nature and inspire a greater appreciation for the beauty on our doorstep,” she added.

Meanwhile it transpires that Katrina is looking for models to be photographed engaged in various outdoor activities within the glen.
