Key road closed in Cumbernauld

Motorists in Cumbernauld should be aware of a road closure this week.

Part of the slip road from Janes Brae to South Carbrain Road will be closed.

The road will be closed today (Wednesday), Thursday and Friday for road patching and gully cleaning.

The closure began at 9 a.m. this morning and continues until 5 p.m. on Friday.

All classes of vehicles except those involved in the work will be prohibited from using this stretch of road.

Alternative routes are in place and vehicles on Janes Brae wishing to access South Carbrain Road should proceed via the B8054 Lenziemill Road, B8039 Janes Brae, slip road three, Greenfaulds Road and South Carbrain Road
