Kilsyth club members enjoy outing

GOING ‘‘doon the watter’’ is still a popular pursuit for those who fancy some sea air - and that would seem to apply to Kilsyth Blind and Disabled Club too.

Members headed for Helensburgh on an outing which culminated with a tasty high tea at a hotel - after inhaling the ozone in this scenic part of the West Coast.

Co-ordinator Anne Marie Montgomery said: “Some of our members really like Helensburgh and that’s why we decided to go there. People either paired off with their carers or did their own thing.’’

Recently members have benefited from a generous lottery grant as Awards for All awarded the club £3945 – which explains the cheque they proudly display in our picture.
