Kilsyth community urged to rally round and help clear up mess

FOR the past two years residents of Kirklands Crescent have watched helplessly as fly-tippers turned land behind their homes into an illegal dumpsite.

At the height of the problem, items such as old fridges, mattresses, televisions and even an entire greenhouse were discarded on a section of the privately owned land.

Now after months of residents and Kilsyth Community Council pushing to have something done, combined with the formation of the Friends of Bogside Park group, action is set to be taken.

The Friends of Bogside Park met on Monday morning to confirm arrangements for Kilsythians to band together on Saturday, September 17, to help clear up the area.
