PLANS to relocate Kilyth delivery office to another town have been withdrawn.

Royal Mail will retain the Kilsyth Delivery Office at the current site on 90 Main Street, it has been announced.

The News and Chronicle previously reported that the business was looking at the potential to relocate this office to either Cumbernauld or Kirkintilloch due to declining mail volumes and the need to operate efficiently.

Royal Mail now says these plans have been withdrawn as the move would have a negative affect on the operation in the area.
