A FED-UP mother has urged dog walkers in Kilsyth to clean up after their pets before a child gets hurt.
Dog fouling has increased in the town around the Tak Ma Doon Road area according to the mother, who did not want to be named.
She said: “I have to say that I am fed up walking up Tak Ma Doon Road with my child in the pram and having to avoid dog waste.
“There is a bin for this to be disposed 30 yards away and on many occasions I have had to put the pram on the road to avoid the dog dirt.
“This is highly dangerous and dog owners are putting my child and my life at risk.”
North Lanarkshire Council say they are doing everything they can to tackle the problem.
