Laugh out loud books

A CUMBERNAULD primary played host to an author who has toured more than 150 schools across the United Kingdom – and brought his own brand of fun to Cumbernauld.

Stuart Reid who comes from Falkirk is in talks with JK Rowling’s agents but has already sold 10,000 copies of his debut novel Gorgeous George and the Giant Geriatric Generator.

And these Cumbernauld Primary pupils got a chance to see what all the fuss was about when Stuart popped in last week and brought his popular story to life with an energetic and comical storytelling session.

His young fans will soon have a chance to re-acquaint themselves with Gorgeous George whose adventures are to be televised, in a screenplay written by Stuart himself.
