Louts running wild in quiet area
A QUIET residential area of Cumbernauld has become a litter-strewn hive of anti-social behaviour – as louts run wild, then proudly post photographs of their misdeeds on a social networking site.
Concerned residents allege that there has been a wave of disorder which centres round under-age drinking, vandalism – such as setting wheelie bins alight and sniffing the fumes –and intimidating behaviour.
They also claim that yobs are creating a litter menace, while locals are being taunted on Facebook.
A senior police officer this week spoke out over the allegations.
