DRIVERS are being warned about roadworks on the M80 next week.
Transport Scotland has confirmed that roadworks on an over head gantry on the M80 are set to start on Monday (May 28).
The works will take place roughly one kilometre north of the Haggs junction and are expected to last five weeks. Motorists will face a 40mph speed limit throughout the works and there is a planned closure of the northbound carriageway on Saturday, June 23 for one night only to allow for the installation of the new gantry frame.
In a statement Transport Scotland said: “The works have been carefully planned and designed in consultation with the police to minimise the impact on the travelling public. However some delays are unavoidable due to the volume of traffic on this route.”
