Welcome to the first Ward’s Weather Watch.
Rain will have been heavy overnight but it will clear away by the time of the school run.
With high pressure returning briefly we will have a nice sunny afternoon as cloud clears by midday. Temperatures will be around 10c and wind will be light so overnight mist and fog will form on low ground.
Higher and dense cloud will move in on a cold front on Thursday and will bring rain by the afternoon; as the cold front passes by temperatures will drop with 8c in the day but 3c at night.
Friday will be a chilly day with winds from the north.
There will be showers during the day and some could fall as sleet or even snow over Carrickstone, Dullatur and Seafar especially in the evening.
BEWARE GARDENERS! Temperatures will drop to around freezing at night and there will be a chance of ground frost. The weekend will be a mix of sun and showers but by Sunday the risk of frost should be gone and temperatures will slowly climb.
The outlook is promising with summer weather arriving in the second half of May.
