Not fit for purpose
Councillor Danny Carrigan toured Greenfaulds High School on council business last week - and was less than impressed by what he saw.
He claims that the achievements being made by pupils and staff are being undermined by the increasingly dilapidated state of the three-decades old building.

Hide AdCouncillor Carrigan has since contacted senior members of North Lanarkshire Council's education department in an urgent bid to have the matter addressed.
He told the News that he was first alerted to the crumbling condition of the building when head teacher Dr John May showed him round the school.
The councillor looked on with disbelief on seeing:
ceiling tiles missing all over the school
dilapidated sports areas
rotting windows
"off-putting" public areas
"ancient" classrooms
"I was very impressed with the academic and arts activities going on but I have to say I was shocked by the fabric of the school," admitted Councillor Carrigan.
"It is a wonder that the school receives so many accolades and academic achievements against the backdrop of a crumbling and sub-standard building."
