Apex players looking for new blood

IF 2012 is the year that you would like to embrace an exciting new hobby, then a local amateur dramatics would like to hear from you.

The Apex Players have approached the News in the hope of securing new production volunteers and a very wide range of roles are up for grabs at the club.

These include set builders and designers, costumes and props assistants, sound and lighting experts, press officers stagehands, fundraisers - and of course actors.

Artists to design scenery and posters are also required by the group which performs at Cumbernauld Theatre several times a year.

A spokesperson said: “Apex is a friendly sociable amateur dramatic group here in Cumbernauld that has enjoyed a lot of success in its long history.

“We meet up every Tuesday night in Muirfield CE Centre in Brown Road Seafar at 7.30pm.
