Nicole’s a model pupil

She is Chapelgreen Primary pupil Nicole Lowther who has triumphed in an annual competition which rewards a senior pupil for their efforts as they have progressed through the school

Head teacher Barbara McNaughton cannot say enough about the P7 pupil who is an excellent role model for young pupils and has contributed so generously to the life of Chapelgreen. Mrs McNaughton said: “ “Nicole personifies the perfect pupil, which has been the case since starting in our nursery at three years of age. She is a lovely, well behaved, well mannered, helpful, popular girl who always does her best.

“She has served on various committees, and is currently a House Captain and one of our playground PALS as well as being on our Eco committee. In such a small school some people may say you have a much better chance of winning an award, but I actually said when presenting the cup that if there were 200 pupils in the school, Nicole would still stand out as the deserving winner.”

Nicole’s family are delighted she has been presented with the Citizenship Cup. Her grandmother, Irene Lowther, said: “Of course we’re all pleased for her and Nicole was chuffed to bits.”

The P7 pupil, who will attend Kilsyth Academy after the summer break, stays at Meadowside Road in Queenzieburn with brother and sister Kimberley and Ryan.

Eleven-year-old Nicole is also a member of the 2nd Kilsyth Guides.
