Paramedics incident leads to Kilsyth arrest

Officers were called to Kilsyth's Market Street on Saturday after ambulance personnel were the victims of an alleged assault.

Police have confirmed that they were called to the scene at 3.20pm, amidst claims that paramedics were attacked.

When officers appeared the man is alleged to have resisted arrest. The man was taken into custody. He was expected to have appeared at Airdrie Sheriff Court at time of going to press.

Meanwhile, police have confirmed that a 22 -year-old and 26-year old male were arrested in Parkfoot Street on Thursday at 7.15pm.

They are accused of drug offences but face additional charges of police assault, resisting arrest and a breach of the peace.

A report has been sent to the fiscal.
