Emergency services would have a tough time gaining access to a Kilsyth street due to parking congestion, according to residents who live there.
The issue of parking on Montrose Gardens was raised by a member of the public during a meeting of Kilsyth Community Council last week.
It was claimed there is simply not enough places for people to park on the street.
Kilsyth Councillor Jean Jones says the issue of parking congestion affects several Kilsyth streets.
She added that she will speak to the appropriate person at North Lanarkshire Council to come out and assess the area to see if more space for parking can be created.
One member of the public said: “It is outrageous. If a fire engine was up there, it would cost a few headaches.”
