Water Babies Scotland Central met at the Craighalbert Centre pool to participate in the Splashathon on behalf of Tommy’s, which supports research into stillbirth, premature birth and miscarriage.

The tots - some just weeks old - took part in a variety of fun events from swimming challenges to pirate fancy dress, while official charity partner Peppa Pig looked on.

Franchisee Elaine Jackman said: “We do this on a biennial basis and have so far raised over £14,000 for Tommy’s, and that is just the online fundraising.

“That is a fantastic performance, more than £100 per member. I have to say a big thank you to all of our swimmers and sponsors.”
