Cumbernauld man shortlisted in top photography competition

Donny Hughes from Greenfaulds had a particular task in hand before he even lifted his camera - looking after a tortoise which belongs to his partner Maxine's son.

He said: "I thought it would be quite special to capture an image of our cat Sapphie and Craigy together. I lured Sapphie into position using one of her toys and took a few shots. I then placed Craigy onto the crate and teased him with a bit of food to get him to open his mouth – then merged both images together. I’m delighted how it turned out!”
