Police hunt teen girls who assaulted woman in Kildrum

A WOMAN was seriously assaulted by two teenage girls as she walked her dog on the footpath at Tarbolton Road leading to Burns Road, Kildrum.

A girl approached and spoke to the 57-year-old woman when a second girl struck her with an object.

The woman required stitches for a head injury. The incident happened at around 9pm last Thursday.

The girls are described as around 14 years old, a little over 5 feet tall, of slim build with dark brown hair. They wore dark hooded tops.

Police are also probing the theft of black Peugeot 307 from the Clouden Road car park in Kildrum, near the Salvation Army building, between 8.30pm last Friday and 10.30am the next day.

And a garden shed in Broomlands Road was broken into between midnight and 8.30am last Saturday. Fishing rods and a rucksack were stolen, If you can help police with these incidents call 01236 503900 or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111.
