Police in Cumbernauld are investigating several break-ins in the area.

A haul of items were snatched from a house in Southfield Road, sometime between 2pm on Friday, November 22, and 2pm on Friday, November 29.

Items taken included a PS3, a Wii, a number of games, two fan heaters and two train sets.

A laptop, smartphone and handbag with contents were taken from a home in Binniehill Road sometime between 11.15pm on Thursday, November 28, and 7.30am the following day.

Police say they are still investigating how the crooks gained entry to the property.

A home was also targeted in Kingsmuir Drive between 5am and 5.30am on Friday, November 29.

The householder was awoke by the sound of a bang coming from downstairs and on investigating they discovered the door had been forced and property was stolen.

Items taken included two mobile phones, a watch and a three figure sum of cash.
