Political leaflet confusion cleared up
THE Cumbernauld News has learned that a publication bearing a very similar name to our own is doing the rounds in the Cumbernauld North ward.
The circular, called The Independent Cumbernauld News, is being distributed door to door by Councillor Alan O’Brien as part of his campaign to be re-elected to North Lanarkshire Council at the local government elections on May 3.
We have received a number of queries from members of the public who want to know if the leaflet is somehow connected to this newspaper
But in keeping with our non-political stance, we would like to state for the record that we are in no way affiliated with or connected to this newsletter.
