Keep active this winter by exploring East Renfrewshire
Five walking and five cycling routes have been compiled on the Council’s website to inspire people to discover some of the hidden gems on offer within East Renfrewshire.
Walking routes:
1. Balgray Reservoir, Dams to Darnley Country Park
2. Neilston Pad
3. The Glen Walks, Rouken Glen Park
4. Pollick Glen, Uplawmoor
5. Whitelee Windfarm
Cycling routes:
1. Reservoir tour, Dams to Darnley Country Park
2. Rouken Glen, Newton Mearns and Greenbank Gardens
3. Thornliebank to Muirend via Eastwood Park and Huntly Park
4. Capelrig Way, Newton Mearns
5. Whitelee Windfarm

Hide AdOther ideas include trying out the outdoor gym equipment available in seven parks and greenspaces across the area.
And for the kids, there is lots of fun to be had discovering the great selection of play parks and skate parks.
Appropriate measures on hand sanitising should be followed before and after using any equipment.
Council Leader, Tony Buchanan, said: “Getting some fresh air and exercise is so important for our health and wellbeing, especially during this difficult time.
