Popular priest to retire in October

A priest who has served at the oldest Catholic parish in Cumbernauld for 28 years is to retire.

Irishman Monsignor Patrick Osborne who originally hails from Dungarven in County Waterford will step down early next month.

At 79, he is the oldest of five priests earmarked for retirement for the Archdiocese of Glasgow.
