Project to tackle fuel poverty

An innovative social housing partnership is aiming to tackle fuel poverty among elderly residents in Cumbernauld.

Renewable energy company, Absolute Solar and Wind, has been working with housing providers Keepmoat and Link Group Ltd to install 96 solar panel systems on three of Link’s sheltered housing developments.

In Cumbernauld, the tenants of Ben Lui Place and Glen Lyon Court, will benefit from the project.

They will be able to use the green energy to power their properties and in turn significantly reduce their monthly utility bills. For more information, visit www.absolutesolarandwind.co.uk.
