Raymond lands dream job in France

A Cumbernauld man who did a cookery course after an accident left him fearing he would never walk again has landed a dream job working at a restaurant in France.

Raymond Fisher (52) was a landscape gardener before he was involved in an accident that changed the course of his life.

He explained: “I was involved in a bad car crash a few years ago and I injured my knee.

Arthritis set in and I had to have a half knee replacement, then a full knee replacement and I was on crutches for quite a while.

“I have always had an interest in cooking and my girlfriend, Janice Nicol, suggested I went to college to gain a qualification and it’s been the best thing I have ever done.”
