Repeat performance as Cumbernauld Rugby Club tackles selfish dog owners again

That gift is dog waste which has been bagged but not properly disposed of. As we have reported, the pitch and surrounding area has proved to be a magnet for owners who do not clean up after their pets, risking a fine in the process.

However, few would seem to have learned their lesson and club president Jim Cochrane has been in touch with us in a bid to make this stop.

He confirmed: “This problem has now persisted with numerous dog owners using our playing fields to exercise their dogs, using doggie bags to pick up their faeces and then leaving them around our clubhouse.’’

His message is: ‘‘When you bin it, take it away!”
