Rifles stolen from Cumbernauld home.

A housebreaking in Kildrum's Clouden Road between midnight and 2am yesterday (Tuesday) has resulted in the theft of three historic firearms.

The owner has told officers that the weapons in question are a P14 rifle and a Mk1 rifle from World War One.

Meanwhile a third firearm has also been reported missing.

This dates back from World War Two and is a Mk5 rifle.

All the weapons have been deactivated but officers have still issued a warning about the storage of firearms.
