Roads closed for Cumbernauld’s big 10k

THIS Sunday’s Cumbernauld 10K will obviously have implications for getting to and around the town - here is the “rundown” on those.

Being a road race, those roads are of course closed to traffic from 9.30am until 12.30pm. Those roads are Atholl Drive from the Broadwood Loch path to Broadwood Roundabout, Westfield Road from Broadwood Roundabout to Deerdykes Roundabout, Mollins Road from Deerdykes Roundabout and Drumgrew Roundabout and the B8048 Kirkintilloch road from Drumgrew Roundabout to the Blackwood East roundabout.

Anyone travelling from outside Cumbernauld should also be aware that due to engineering works there are no train services between Glasgow and Cumbernauld.
