School thieves strike again

CONCERNS have been raised over security at a high school which was targeted by thieves again this week.

Kilsyth Academy was broken into between midnight on Sunday, August 26, and 6.30 am the next day.

Thieves smashed their way through the glass window of a fire exit door to gain entry to the school and nicked a box of clothing, which was later recovered in Montrose Gardens.

It is the fourth break-in the school has endured since the start of summer, and the Kilsyth Chronicle reported last week that North Lanarkshire Council would be carrying out a security review to deal with the problem.
