School year ends on a high at Kildrum

A CUMBERNAULD school put on a showcase of the work it does during the year and let its pupils have a whale of a time into the bargain!

Green-minded Kildrum Primary staged its seventh annual fun day for pupils and opened the door to family and friends who got an insight into what everyone has been up.

Luck was on their side as it took place on Friday when everyone enjoyed the first day-long stretch of good weather – which disappeared as quickly as it had arrived!

A trusty bouncy castle was inflated on the grounds but traditional playground games were also popular as was trampolining and a mock gladitorial contest!

Principal teacher Ann Davis said: “Everyone was able to see the project work we have been doing on the topic of Africa and we always like to show everyone our garden and the greenhouse.

“It’s also a celebration of the end of the school year and everybody really enjoys it.’’
