Signs of the times

THE weather in Cumbernauld might still be dreich and drab, but that hasn’t stopped some Condorrat residents from brightening up their village.

The Condorrat Residents and Tenants Association have made the entrance to their village unmissable by creating a collection of welcoming signs and designs on the road into the area as well as a sculpture marking the farming history of the town.

Kate McLean, chair person of the association said: “We’ve been doing this since October last year and it’s great to see it finally finished.

“It’s all people in the community that have done this, they’ve been involved, and that is what we are all about – bringing the community together.”
