The night sky over Cumbernauld and Kilsyth was dramaticially lit up by another belter of a firework display at Broadwood.
The event again drew a crowd of thousands who wanted to take advantage of an event on the grand scale which is conducted in conditions of absolute safety.
Organised by North Lanarkshire Council, the giant display passed without incident.
It’s another example of why fire chiefs advise locals to seek out organised bonfire displays where only experienced technicians handle fireworks.
The event always takes place the night before Guy Fawkes night to accommodate the council’s flagship display at Strathclyde Park.
