A hard-working Cumbernauld dancer has landed her first ever professional contract on a Disney cruise liner touring the Carribean.

Natalie Smith (19) from Valleyfield Drive in Blackfield will start 2016 in spectacular fashion by jetting off to Canada!

There, the former St Maurice’s High School will begin two months worth of rehearsals for the routines that will delight international passengers on the spectacular Fantasy liner.

Then the cast will fly to Florida to board the vessel which is docked in Port Canaveral.

And between shows, Natalie is set to see some of the most beautiful beaches and seascapes on the planet, thanks to the wonderful world of Disney!

Natalie said: “The ship is going on a western and eastern Caribbean route that alternates every week.

“My role will be as a mainstay performer where I’ll be dancing professionally full time .”

Yet Natalie had to do a lot of hard graft to get that far.

And Disney is far from the only cruise line that wanted to snap her up.

Natalie added:“Ever since I graduated from the Dance For All Theatre School this year, I was auditioning especially in London, Manchester and Leeds non stop .

“I was also put on the books for Celebrity Cruises, Jean Ann Ryan Production and Norwegian Cruise Lines,

“Everything about this contract is absolutely perfect and I couldn’t be happier!”
