Tree cull critics are given answers

A CONTROVERSIAL decision to fell hundreds of trees between Balloch and Condorrat is actually an act of conservation, a council landscape boss has insisted.

Kenneth Wilson who heads up North Lanarkshire Council’s land services was held to account at a recent meeting of Cumbernauld Environmental Society. The tree felling has sparked a host of complaints to the News and Chronicle. The situation is still being monitored by the society.
