UCAS deadline looms

If you haven’t submitted an application for a university and college course beginning in autumn 2013, there’s still time - even though the Tuesday 15 January deadline is looming.

Applications received at UCAS by 23:59 on Tuesday night are guaranteed to be considered by the relevant universities and colleges.

If you are still working on an application, there are some useful tips on the new UCAS blog (http://ucasonline.blogspot.co.uk/).

John Madden, UCAS Social Media Executive said: “If you’re applying through a school, make sure that you finish your application with enough time for your tutor to add the reference. Once you’ve submitted your application, it will go to your school and they’ll send it onto UCAS.

“The magic words ‘Your application has been sent to UCAS and will be processed shortly’ will appear on the Welcome page of Apply when your school has sent it to us.”

Dedicated UCAS advisers are also on Twitter (@ucas_online) and Facebook (www.facebook.com/ucasonline) ready to answer any questions about the application process.

You can also contact our Customer Contact Centre on 0871 468 0 468 (or 0044 871 468 0 468 from outside the UK) and opening hours are being extended in preparation for the 15 January deadline
