Voting extended for our Draw Your Maw competition

OUR Draw Your Maw competition has proved so successful that we’re extending the voting arrangements.

Hundreds of children put their drawing skills to good use, to show their mums how much they mean to them in the run-up to Mother’s Day on Sunday (March 18).

The competition was run in association with Cumbernauld Shopping Centre, and thanks to centre manager Robert Barr all the pictures are now on display in a brightly-lit shop unit on Teviot Walk (opposite Gregg’s). The shop is open between around 10am and 5pm.

Originally we were going to count the votes on Monday (March 19) - but the sheer volume of entries has taken everyone by surprise and has slightly held up the voting arrangements.

So now we’re going to keep the drawings up all of next week, with the new votes deadline next Monday, March 26.

All the arrangements should be in place by this weekend, so why not drop in and cast your vote for your favourite?

There are two categories: eight and under, and over eight, and our sponsors First Choice have generously agreed to put up a top prize of £50 for each of the winners.

Good luck - and happy voting!
