The suvet - a suit and duvet combo - means sleepy heads can experience the feeling of being in bed while getting on with the daily grind.

This latest invention in bedroom coutour is the brainchild of Jurys Inn Hotel Group after discovering that 41 per cent of Scots struggle to get out of bed on weekday mornings.

Edinburgh topped the poll of UK cities whose residents find it the hardest to get out of bed, with Glasgow coming in fourth.

But the suvet, which was created in collaboration with costume designer to the stars Wendy Benstead, means employees can comfortably catch 20 winks while commuting or grab a cozy nap at work.

Its snood-like collar doubles up as a pillow, allowing the wearer to literally snooze anywhere and everywhere they go and its over-sized shoulders provide a functional benefit of guaranteeing personal space during the busy daily commute.

Suzanne Cannon, head of marketing for Jurys Inn said: “With 41 per cent of Scots already finding it a struggle to get up in the morning, daylight saving time can really disrupt our body clocks.

“As a nation of workaholics, things like fatigue, lack of sleep and even the comfort of our beds can make getting up an arduous task, so we’ve created the suvet - a comfortable, stylish outfit to make getting up for work and tackling the day ahead easier.

“We thought this would be a fun way to give consumers the chance to take the comfort of their beds literally anywhere they go.

“If there is enough interest in this prototype we will definitely consider putting a limited edition run into production - after all, who doesn’t like the thought of a duvet day every day.”
