Wii were left to freeze in our home

SCOTTISH Gas have been forced to issue a grovelling apology to two Abronhill pensioners who were left without central heating and hot water for nearly a week.

Irate Duncan McMillan (70) and his wife Catherine (69) felt temperatures plunge in their Medlar Road home after the company REFUSED to send heating engineers for THREE DAYS after the couple's boiler blew up at 7am on Christmas Day.

And this was DESPITE them paying nearly 20 per month to secure round-the-clock emergency cover.

The couple had to rely on blankets, hot water bottles and hastily-purchased fan heaters to try and keep warm - as well as a rather more unusual method - playing tennis on their trusty Wii machine.
