Woodcutter has all the right answers

Cumbernauld’s Woodcutter Pub has raised a staggering £1,500 for the Scottish Spina Bifida Association from their weekly Thursday quiz and bingo nights.

Maureen Mitchell, manager of the pub, and her quiz master, David Weatherstone, have been actively fundraising for local charities for many years; last year they decided to support the Scottish Spina Bifida Association (SSBA).

Each week a percentage of the bingo winnings were put aside for the SSBA, until the regulars had donated an amazing £1,500.
