Alan lifts Wednesday Shield 4

ALAN J. Brown had a season best gross 70 to win the Scratch Section of Wednesday Shield 4, and on countback also won the handicap category from David Kelly, both scored net 67.

On Saturday, July 16, the invitational J.B. Bennett Trophy was won on countback by P. Kennedy and J. Emslie with 62, second placed were the father and son team of G. Etherington.

This Sunday, Kilsyth will be hosting the regional finals of the Thomson McCrone Forrest Trophy. Twenty-four clubs from the west of Scotland area will participate in this four-man team event.

Members and visitors should note that the tee will be closed between 10am and 2pm for this competition.
