Craig races off to a great start

Cumbernauld sports car racer Craig Mitchell from Greenfaulds has started the 2013 campaign in his own Lola T88/90 picking up a win at Silverstone.

In the Bigprofile Sports 2000 championship season opener at Silverstone GP circuit on the bank holiday weekend at the end of April the young Greenfaulds driver earned a Class B Duratec win and a third place overall in a huge grid of race cars.

A championship double header on bank holiday weekend at the end of May saw qualifying and two races over one day at Oulton Park International circuit in Cheshire.

Craig was just pipped for second slot on the grid but from third place in the first race he managed a second spot on the podium. The second race was very close and Craig was unlucky not to take the win as back markers affected his progress in the final few laps. Again he had to settle for a win in Class B and second slot for the event.
