Rangers’ hopes of gaining promotion this season suffered an early blow with defeat at the hands of Maybole.

They failed to take advantage of a good first half showing and thanks to a couple of second half defensive lapses, handed the points to the visitors on a plate.

If they are to start climbing the table then chances have to be taken and careless errors at the back eliminated.
