Barrhill Indiscipline costs them the points

Milton 3 Barrhill 1(After extra-time)East of Scotland Cup, first round

Barrhill were looking for a better display this week and it took them 15 minutes to get going with Quinn starting to dictate the play from the middle of the park.

Then all of a sudden the local side found themselves trailing by a goal which seemed to knock the stuffing out of them. McPherson tried a pass to Duffy but was well short and the home striker hit a shot which took a deflection and left keeper Stevenson with no chance.

The visitors pulled a goal back through I. Johnson, who volleyed a Hopkins corner in to the top corner of the net.

The second half saw Barrhill hitting the post and bar a couple of times before Byrne raced in on a cross from Divine, but miss-kicked in front of goal.

Then a moment of madness from Fulton saw him being given his marching orders by the referee. With him off and Divine injured the home team made the most of the open spaces and scored two to finish the game 3-1.

Man of the match award went to Quinn.
