Two goals from Michael Daly, one from Scott Ferguson and a debut strike by youngster Gordon Young secured a comfortable win 
at Broadwood.

Bully Wee boss Jim Duffy brought on Stuart McColm and under-19 player Fraser McGhee to replace Giuseppe Capuano and Iain Gray.

Clyde started strongly and put the visitors under pressure from the first whistle.

The Broadwood outfit had two goals disallowed in the first half. Firstly Michael Daly was denied when was adjudged to have been offside and a Brian McQueen effort was also ruled out when the big defender was penalised for fouling an Elgin defender as he headed the ball i
nto the net.

However, in the 33rd minute Clyde did take the lead. Daly rose above the Elgin defence and headed a Janczyk corner into the net to make the breakthrough and give the home side a half-time lead.

Clyde doubled their lead when a McColm cross wasn’t collected cleanly by Jellema and Scott Ferguson fired 
the ball into the roof of 
the net.

Elgin continued to work hard and Jamie Barclay had two great saves in quick succession as he denied Craig Gunn with his legs and then tipped a close range header over the bar.

The Bully Wee gave their supporters a resounding finish. Ten minutes from the end Michael Daly dived to head home a Janczyk free kick into the net, The victory was sealed in the final minute when a free flowing passing move was completed with an excellent MacDonald cross that gave Young his first senior goal with his first touch of the ball as he scored from close range.
